About this notice

This notice covers the Utensil World website, operated by CEFS PLASTIC LIMITED. It explains the information stored in your browser for accounts, shopping features and preferences, together with services provided by other organisations.

Cookies and similar storage

Cookies are small files saved on your device and sent back to a website when needed. Local storage keeps information in your browser between visits. Session storage normally lasts for the current browser tab, although your browser may restore it when reopening a session.

The cookie rules also cover these other forms of browser storage. Storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you request can be used without consent. Other uses may need your consent or must meet a specific legal exception. Reading this notice or continuing to browse does not, by itself, give consent to optional storage.

Storage used by our shop

Clearing browser storage does not delete orders, your customer account or information already saved to your account. See Protecting Your Personal Data for information about those records.

Google Maps and payment services

Google Maps: our Our Story page contains an embedded Google map. The map loads automatically as you approach it on the page. When it loads, your browser connects directly to Google, which receives connection information and may use its own cookies or similar technologies. These depend on your browser and Google settings. See Google’s cookie information for its purposes, cookie lifetimes and available controls.

Stripe: when you choose to pay, the shop redirects you to Stripe’s hosted checkout. Stripe handles your payment details on its own service and may use cookies and similar technologies for payment processing, security and other purposes described in its notices. Links to Facebook, Instagram and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy and cookie information.

Advertising and analytics

Reports are available only to authorised administrators. They show totals and product performance, without visitor names, email addresses or IP addresses. Detailed activity reports cover the most recent 90 days; older records are removed in bounded background cleanup. Paid order records are used separately for sales reporting. We cannot reliably identify one person across different browsers or devices, and only consented visits appear in visitor reports.

With your permission, our own analytics records pages viewed, product-card clicks, additions to basket and checkout activity. It uses a random browser identifier for up to 90 days and a visit identifier that changes after 30 minutes of inactivity. Your choice is stored in the uw_analytics_consent cookie and browser storage for up to six months. Optional analytics stays off until you accept, and browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals keep it off.

ChatGPT ad measurement is a separate optional choice. When you accept it, the OpenAI Pixel connects confirmed live purchases and their value and currency to our ChatGPT ads. It uses the __oppref cookie for an ad click reference (up to 30 days) and __obref for a random browser reference (up to 365 days). Browser restrictions can shorten these lifetimes. Your ad-measurement choice is stored as uw_ad_measurement_consent and uw_ad_measurement_consent_at for up to six months. A bounded list of opaque event references in uw_ad_measured_orders prevents repeat purchase events; it is removed when measurement is turned off. Previous consent to website analytics does not enable ChatGPT ad measurement.

The Pixel sends events to OpenAI and includes technical connection and attribution information. Where enabled by OpenAI, automatic advanced matching can use customer information after normalising and hashing it in the browser. See OpenAI’s Privacy Policy. No card details are included in our purchase events. Test payments are excluded. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control keep ad measurement off.

Managing your browser data

You can change your VAT selection, remove favourites and edit your basket using the website controls. Your browser’s privacy or site-data settings also let you view, delete or restrict cookies and browser storage. Use Cookie settings in the footer to accept or reject website analytics and ChatGPT ad measurement separately at any time. Rejecting stops future collection and removes the relevant optional identifiers from this browser.

Clearing site data can sign you out and remove your locally saved preferences, guest basket and checkout-recovery information. Account information already saved on our servers remains. Blocking storage may prevent account, basket or payment-recovery features from working correctly. Some local records are created again when you revisit the shop or use its features.

Browser controls help you manage your device; they do not replace consent where the law requires us to obtain it.
