1. About us
Utensil World supplies commercial kitchenware and catering equipment from 235 Great Lister Street, Birmingham B7 4BS. You can contact our team on 0121 359 6124 or through our contact page.
2. Using this website
You may use this website for lawful shopping and product research. Product images, descriptions, prices and availability may change. We take reasonable care with website information, but colours and scale can vary between screens and product images may be illustrative.
3. Orders and acceptance
Submitting an order is an offer to buy. An automated acknowledgement does not mean the order has been accepted. A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance or dispatch the goods. We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance if an item is unavailable, a price is clearly incorrect, payment is not authorised, delivery is not possible, or we reasonably suspect misuse or fraud. Any payment already taken will be returned.
4. Prices, VAT and payment
Use the VAT switch to view indicative inclusive or exclusive prices. The checkout total and tax treatment shown when the order is placed take priority. Delivery, remote-area and specialist-handling charges are shown or confirmed before dispatch. Payment must be authorised using a method offered at checkout.
5. Availability and product substitutions
Stock messages are a guide and do not guarantee availability. We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement. Where we cannot supply an item, we may offer an alternative, a revised delivery date or a refund for the affected item.
6. Delivery
Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise. Free standard delivery from £100.00 applies only to eligible UK Mainland orders; exclusions and surcharges may apply to bulky items and remote or offshore destinations. Full details are on our delivery information page.
7. Returns, cancellation and faulty goods
Consumers buying at a distance normally have cancellation rights, subject to legal exceptions. Business purchases do not receive the automatic consumer change-of-mind right. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods are handled according to applicable law. Read our returns policy and contact us before sending anything back.
8. Risk and ownership
Risk passes when the goods are delivered to you or a person you identify to receive them. Ownership passes once we have received cleared payment in full, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
9. Liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory rights, or any liability that cannot legally be limited. Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made. For business customers, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings or indirect loss to the extent permitted by law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law that applies in the part of the United Kingdom where the customer is resident, subject to mandatory consumer protections. Courts with legal jurisdiction may hear disputes.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. We may update these terms for future orders; the version in force when an order is accepted applies to that order.
